Observations
-
Homepage Design Issues:
- The website's busy homepage and too many pop-ups might make users leave, as they get in the way of the main content.
- First impressions are vital, and a visually appealing website often determines whether a user stays or leaves. The design should not only be visually appealing but also create visual interest to encourage further exploration and engagement with the content.
- This aspect of design has become so crucial that search engines like Google prioritize websites with positive user experiences in their search result.
-
Navigation
- Both CBSE and IGCSE leads to a new page entirely, with new header menu, with no way to coming back to the homepage. This makes the navigation very confusing. It can be frustrating and may lead users to leave the website entirely.
- The website is heavy on text at many places, lacking a structured information layout, with limited use of imagery to showcase the data in a more structured way. Here are a few snapshots from the website where the content appears excessive.
- There’s not enough contrast between background colour and the text, (black on blue), making the information difficult to read.
- Inconsistency in design language: We've noticed the text size varies from one page to another. This inconsistency can make the website seem less polished. To ensure uniformity and provide a seamless experience for parents visiting our website, it's essential that the site maintains consistent layout elements, such as image sizes, text sizes, and text weights (bold, regular, etc.)
