Observations

• Homepage Design Issues:
  • First impressions are vital, and a visually appealing website often determines whether a user stays or leaves. The design should not only be visually appealing but also create visual interest to encourage further exploration and engagement with the content.
  • This aspect of design has become so crucial that search engines like Google prioritize websites with positive user experiences in their search result.

• Design Structure Issues:
  • The website is heavy on text at many places, lacking a structured information layout, with limited use of imagery to showcase the data in a more structured way. Here are a few snapshots from the website where the content appears excessive.

• UI and UX Issues:

  • There are design and alignment issues at places. These issues leave a bad impression in user’s mind and impact the final decision making.

    

• Broken Links & Sections

  • Broken links/Unfinished sections can lead to a poor user experience, and might not give the perception of a professional website. This can be frustrating and may lead users to leave the website entirely. Additionally, broken links/unfinished can negatively impact search engine optimisation, as search engines may penalise websites with broken links by lowering their search rankings.

  

• Testimonials Section

  • At present, NPS East and NPS Marathahalli website doesn't have a Parent Testimonial Section. Parent testimonials are valuable to a school's website as they provide credibility, real-life experiences, emotional appeal, and a sense of community, all of which can be influential in a parent's decision-making process regarding their child's education.
  • NPS Whitefield does have Parent’s Corner section. There is just text in this section without showing the images. This might create a sense of doubt regarding the reviews.

  

• FAQ Section

  • Though the FAQs are present on a separate page but it should be positioned at the bottom of the Homepage also, enabling parents to readily access vital information directly from the main page.

Proposed Changes

• We can reimagine the homepage and craft it in a way that narrates the story of the school, especially for new parents exploring the website.
