Observations

• Currently, the website design lacks a distinct brand language, which is crucial in establishing a memorable and recognisable identity for the school.

• Homepage Design Issues:

  • The header on the homepage is disproportionately large, and the images used in the hero section are not shown properly and are getting cut. This might lead to a bad first impression for user.
  • Typically, the goal of the hero section is to establish an emotional connection with the parent visiting the website by showcasing the best of the school through impactful images (high quality) and compelling tagline (concise). That essence appears to be missing currently.

  

• UI and UX Issues:

  • There are numerous design and alignment issues throughout various sections of the website.

    • The navigation menu is currently visible by default on phones and appears before the main content section. Ideally, it should be hidden behind a hamburger menu for better user experience.

      

    • The slide indicators and the 'Cambridge/NVN-MUN' elements are overlapping, making it difficult to click on the intended button.

      

    • The Awards Section does not stand out, and its design appears particularly plain, especially for a section dedicated to awards.

      

• Broken Links & Sections

  Broken links/Unfinished sections can lead to a poor user experience, and might not give the perception of a professional website. This can be frustrating and may lead users to leave the website entirely. Additionally, broken links/unfinished can negatively impact search engine optimisation, as search engines may penalise websites with broken links by lowering their search rankings.

  • The arrow buttons are not functioning properly.

    

  • The section following the footer on the CBSE website appears to be broken.

    

  • Clicking on the 'IGCSE > Academics' link results in redirection to a broken page.

    

  • FAQ Section

    • At present, the website doesn't have an FAQ section. Including an FAQ page can enhance the user experience by addressing common questions about admissions, school procedures, and other potential uncertainties. Additionally, it can boost SEO and lead to increased organic traffic.
    • Additionally, the FAQs should be positioned at the bottom of the Homepage, enabling parents to readily access vital information directly from the main page.

Proposed Changes
