Observations

• Homepage Design Issues:
  • Aim of Hero section (top-most section in the website) should be to set the tone of the website and create further engagement.
  • For a pre-school website, hero section should establish a fresh, child-friendly tone.
  • Have a single, clear aim - engage visitors, communicate primary value proposition.
  • This may result in missed opportunities to engage potential users.

An example of Little Elly - one of our schools, this website sets the child-centric theme, has primary tagline and engages the user to explore further.

• UI and UX Issues:

  • Using automatic signup popups is not advisable, as they often lead to increased user drop-off. It is preferable to allow visitors to explore the website and choose to click on the Call-to-Action (CTA) buttons themselves.

    

  • The design of the menu on mobile devices seems off.

    

• Broken Links & Sections

  Broken links/Unfinished sections can lead to a poor user experience, and might not give the perception of a professional website. This can be frustrating and may lead users to leave the website entirely. Additionally, broken links/unfinished can negatively impact search engine optimisation, as search engines may penalise websites with broken links by lowering their search rankings.

  

  • Links for “Who We are”, “Contact Us”, “Careers” are not working.

• FAQ Section

  • At present, the website doesn't have an FAQ section. Including an FAQ page can enhance the user experience by addressing common questions about admissions, school procedures, and other potential uncertainties. Additionally, it can boost SEO and lead to increased organic traffic.
  • Additionally, the FAQs should be positioned at the bottom of the Homepage, enabling parents to readily access vital information directly from the main page.

Proposed Changes

We can reimagine the homepage and craft it in a way that narrates the story of the school, especially for new parents exploring the website. We think the website should be:

• Youthful & Child-Centric: A fresh, child-focused approach.
• Focused Curriculum, Minimal Text: Highlighting our curriculum as a USP, without overwhelming with text.
• Professional, Seamless, Animated Design: A professional and seamlessly animated website

This redesign will offer a fresh introduction to the ethos and offerings of Novus, leaving a lasting and positive impression. Here is an idea of what sections we can include.
